The Competition Training & Wind Calling Workbook
Every 4 years or so, BRI hosts a Long-Range Weekend which consists of a Training Day and Wind Seminar on Saturday and a 1000-yard prone match on Sunday.
During the Training Day, we run a mock match with some veteran competitors shooting at the 300-yard range. The attendees get to experience firsthand; target pulling, scoring duties and watch closely the firing team. In the afternoon, we regroup at the 1000-yard range and after some instructions, the attendees assemble around several pairs of shooter/coach and watch the action as the shooting pairs discuss the conditions, pick a hold and get the results. The attendees ask questions, monitor the discussion and observer the results and the post-mortem. They also get to suggest holds and watch the results.
BRI has produced a handbook for this class and keeps updating it every session. This handbook is available here for download. Please do not modify the handbook in any way. You are free to print it and share it, but full credit is to be given to BRI.
