Plinkathon is a fun shoot event with teams shooting half-scale metallic animal silhouette targets, Chickens at 40 meters, Pigs at 50 meters, Turkeys at 75 meters and Rams at 100 meters. Teams are formed by a random card draw the morning of the event and compete against each other in a round-robin format to see who can clear their target banks the quickest. Plinkathon is shot at the Addicks Range #4 on the 3rd Saturday of each month.
Membership in Bayou Rifles is not required to participate.

Bayou Rifles holds a Vintage-Garand-Modern Military Match in January, February, March, April, May, September, and October. Any WWII era rifle, current Service Rifles or Match Rifle are allowed. Rifle must be able to fire 10 rounds in 80 seconds with a mag change. No muzzle Breaks are allowed. The match is shot at 200 yards from the prone, prone rapid fire and standing positions. there will be 2 separate matches. A person can fire different rifles in each match. The course of fire requires 30 shots for record and 5 sighters for each match.

The Inaugural 2026 SK Lone Star Cup (SKLSC) will be held at the Bayou Rifles’ Houston Addicks Range on Saturday June 6th & Sunday June 7th, 2026. The SKLSC consists of a 160 shot aggregate Smallbore Silhouette Standard Rifle Match (NRA Registered), held simultaneously with a 160 shot aggregate Smallbore Benchrest Silhouette Match (two 40 shot matches per day). Registration is limited to the first 120 smallbore silhouette registrants and the first 30 benchrest silhouette registrants. Friday June 5th will be a practice day for both Smallbore Standard Rifle and Benchrest Silhouette. Please note there is no Hunter Rifle category in the SKLSC. Every junior registered will receive a free brick of SK Rifle Match (limit of 50 bricks)! Join us for great trophies, medals, cash awards and our prize table to help support and grow the SKLSC in the years to come!

Bayou Rifles holds a Vintage-Garand-Modern Military Match in January, February, March, April, May, September, and October. Any WWII era rifle, current Service Rifles or Match Rifle are allowed. Rifle must be able to fire 10 rounds in 80 seconds with a mag change. No muzzle Breaks are allowed. The match is shot at 200 yards from the prone, prone rapid fire and standing positions. there will be 2 separate matches. A person can fire different rifles in each match. The course of fire requires 30 shots for record and 5 sighters for each match.

The Pearl Harbor Match allows any World War 2 Era Rifle to be used at 200 and 300 Yards. This match will be shot on the 300 Yard Range using E-Targets.
Participants may also compete with a Service Rifle or Match Rifle. Positions are Standing (10 Shots), Sitting Rapid Fire (10 Shots), Prone Rapid Fire(10 Shots) and Prone Slow Fire (20 Shots). The re are 2 sighters in each match for a total of 58 shots.
This match is held at the Juliff 200/300 yard range at the front of the property.
Target setup at the 300 Yard Pit at 8:00.
Roll call at the 200 Yard line at 8:30.
Firing begins when roll call is complete.
