Monthly Maintenance on HP Ranges

Monthly club match for NRA Smallbore 3P, prone, and F-Class on the first Saturday of the month.

The 1000 Yard Long Range match is usually held on the first Sunday of the month. Participants compete in the F-Open, F-TR, Palma, Any-Rifle or Service Rifle categories shooting in the prone position.

Monthly club match for Air Rifle Silhouette on the first Sunday of the month. Registration and warm-up begins around 9am, the first match begins at 10am.

Monthly club match for smallbore silhouette on the second Saturday of the month. Registration and warm-up begins around 8am, the first match begins at 9am, running two relays. Two 40-shot matches followed by lunch.

This Match will be shot at on the 1000 Yard Range at 200, 300 and 600 Yards. These matches are held generally on the second Sunday of the month. Participants compete with a Service Rifle or Match Rifle, in the standing, sitting and prone position from the distances of 200, 300 and 600 yards. There are 4 matches, each with 20 shots for record and 2 sighters, for a total of 88 shots for record.

8:00 AM - Competitors meet at the targets to set up E-Targets. Competitors living more than 100 miles away should meet at the firing line at 8:30 for roll call.
8:30 – Roll call at the firing line.
Shooting begins when roll call is complete.


 

Plinkathon is a fun shoot event with teams shooting half-scale metallic animal silhouette targets, Chickens at 40 meters, Pigs at 50 meters, Turkeys at 75 meters and Rams at 100 meters. Teams are formed by a random card draw the morning of the event and compete against each other in a round-robin format to see who can clear their target banks the quickest. Plinkathon is shot at the Addicks Range #4 on the 3rd Saturday of each month.

Membership in Bayou Rifles is not required to participate.

Saturday January 18, 2025 from 8:00 am to 10:00 am All front ranges will be closed. After 10:00 am, only pistol bay #5 will be closed until work is completed.

The 600 Yard Mid Range match is usually held on the third Sunday of the month. Participants compete in the F-Open, F-TR, Palma, Any-Rifle or Service Rifle categories shooting in the prone position.

The 50, 25 and all pistol bays will be closed for the Steel Fun Shoot. If you were looking to shoot a pistol or pistol caliber carbine at this time please consider coming to this match instead.

Bayou Rifles holds a Vintage-Garand-Modern Military Match in January, February, March, September, October and November. Any WWII era rifle, current Service Rifles or Match Rifle are allowed. Rifle must be able to fire 10 rounds in 70 seconds with a mag change. No muzzle Breaks are allowed. The match is shot at 200 yards from the prone, sitting and standing positions. The course of fire requires 50 shots for record and 5 sighters.

2025 Across the Course Match Program

Monthly club match for Lever Action and Pistol Silhouette on the fourth Sunday of the month. Registration and warm-up begins around 9am, the first match begins at 10am. Registration fee is $10 payable at the range on match day.

Monthly club match for Bullseye Pistol on the fourth Sunday of the month.
